<--Back to Gospel Tracts
It's that time again, to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ! These Happy Easter gospel tracts are great for doing just that and they help to remind people about the true meaning of this time of year.
Front says: Spring has sprung and with that comes greener grass, birds whistling happy songs, flowers blooming and the celebration of Easter. This holiday is often marked with candy, easter egg hunts, & baby chicks. It is also the most attended day of the year at many churches. It is the day Christians gather to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This event is the crux of human history and allows people to be saved from their sins and the wrath of God. Consider this - put yourself in a courtroom, guilty of serious crimes. The fine is $500,000 or life in prison. You don’t have the money to pay, so you are being led off to jail...
Back says: Suddenly the judge steps down from his stand and pays the fine for you. You’re free to go, not because of anything good you did, but because the fine has been paid. In the same light, God’s law says, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, & might. But we have all loved other things more. We have broken God’s law by lying, stealing, looking with lust, not being content, & blaspheming his name. Since God is just, he does not sweep these crimes under the rug. We are all guilty and therefore deserve to spend eternity in Hell. But God is both just & loving. His love is willing to meet the demands of his justice. This is why Jesus came from heaven. He lived a perfect life, characterized by the fruits of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self-control. And here is the Easter truth: Jesus offered up his life as a substitute for sinners, by dying on the cross, absorbing the wrath of God. He died, was put in a tomb, & rose from the dead on the third day, proving he has authority to make atonement for your sin. You broke God’s law; Jesus paid the fine. God commands that you repent, that means confess your sins to him regularly & make a point not to do them any more. And he wants you to put your full reliance in Jesus as your Savior. Those who do will have Eternal Life abiding in them. And this is why Christians celebrate Easter! They celebrate his triumphant victory over satan, sin, death, hell, and the wrath of God. They celebrate newness of life; they celebrate a living Savior!! We would encourage you to call out to Jesus today, for you are not guaranteed tomorrow. seedshakers.com
