So many people have fought & sacrificed much for the freedoms we enjoy here in America - the freedoms we so often take for granted. As we dwell on these things, one should also contemplate if they are truly FREE from guilt & sin? Do you know without a doubt where you will spend eternity? Heaven or Hell? The Bible reveals that you need your sins forgiven & your heart changed to love the things that God loves. We know that it is wrong to lie, hate, steal, & use God’s Name in vain. We are all guilty of breaking God’s Law (the 10 Commandments) & therefore deserve to spend eternity in Hell. But God’s love is willing to meet the demands of His justice; this is the HOPE of the gospel. God sent forth his Son, Jesus, born of the virgin Mary. He kept God’s Law perfectly. Jesus laid down his life as a perfect substitute for sinners - He absorbed the wrath of God that we deserve. He died, was put in a tomb & rose from the dead 3 days later. God’s justice was applied to Jesus on the cross so that mercy can be applied to you. Repent (turn from your sins) and trust in the resurrected Jesus! Those who do will inherit eternal life with God. “At the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven & on earth & under the earth, & every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
